hello there I got a rock of eagle eyes 6 days ago, when I got them at the lfs they where under blue led's high output , and they look like in the first picture, at home they look like in the 2nd pic , colors are very faded now, my light is an LED panorama pro 19w, 8-12k/and 4-445 royal blue, is the color of the light the issue here or my zoas faded?
    Thanks

What type of lighting do you have? The lighting at the store could have been stronger. The eagle eyes could just be adjusting.

I think you have too much "white" light to show coloration, but the coral could also be stressed depending on when you purchased and light acclimation.
turn off your daylights and see what it looks like under actinic.

+1 looks like you just dont have a lot of actinics running to bring out the coloration. Do you have any other coral in the tank?? what does that look like?

actinic is the issue , currently is all I have as for light, so that is the issue probably, I'm getting a stunner with blue and magnetta, very soon to pop the colors. I have some frogspawns they look good, but they can look better under actinic. Now I have seen some pictures of others with similar zoas under daylight only and the colors look more intense though. And I have seen "pictures" with actinic only and there is no color at all, I'm thinking is camera issue there.

Shouldn't actinics add more color not less..???!! From what your saying above you make it sound like your blaming the color loss on having actinics ..??

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but 12 LEDs for a total of 19w doesn't sound like much light. Seems you might not be producing the PAR that the zoas are used to. What size tank do you have, and how far from the water surface is the fixture?

I'm not saying that actinics are not giving the coloration to the corals, I said I have seen pictures of others, where they look faded
I have a 12g nano dx the fixture is about 2" above the water surface, and one of the zoas rock is at 6" from it , the one of the eagle eyes is at 9". So I don't think is a PAR problem , may be I need more actinics.

How many days apart where these photos taken? I find it hard to believe there are even the same colony.
