    I just got a new camera, a Nikon D7000....woohooo.
So I cleaned up my tank a bit and took pics, will be posting them shortly.
It's so much easier to get a good shot now since I can stand back from the tank and zoom in so the fish aren't freaked out and such. Plus @ 5 frames/sec can get multiple shots.

Can't wait to see. I wish I was able to get accurate to life photos of my tank.

I does do that and nice close ups too.

Thanks and Merry Christmas to you too.

Get the book Understanding Exposure by Brian Peterson or you can take a class at a local community college. I may be doing both. ;D

Congrats on the pick up! I'm a "Canonite" myself using a 5DmkII with a ton of lenses, but I have played with the D7000 and you will surely enjoy it! Assuming you don't have a bowfront tank (like myself) you will surely easily capture tons of great images.

my husband just got the D600 - he's a avid amateur photographer....of course, he just told me that I got it for him for Christmas :)....is the D7000 the newest Nikon? If so, that must be an incredible camera! Looking forward to seeing your photos! Since my power outage, I guess I'll need to go to the LFS and let my husband know what he got me for Christmas LOL

Thanks, And I do have a bowfront but have gotten good pics.

I'ts one of the newer ones. It's better rated then the D600 from whet I've read. Would've loved to get the D800 but that is twice as much as the D7000.

Funny about the gifts, no need for returning gifts that weren't quite right. :cheesy:
