    A 7.8 earthquake hit Sumatra at around 6:30.

    I know, sparse on information. That doesn't prevent the question from being asked: why have there been so many gigantic earthquakes in the last couple months?

    Actually, this would suggest that were right on track for pretty standard earthquake numbers.

    I think what were feeling is a difference in media coverage of earthquakes.
