just wondering what would be the easiest clam to keep requirements wise, i hear the smaller ones have to be fed phyto like 3 times a day whereas the larger ones are more reliant on strong lighting because there zooanthela? has matured, etc..
so i have a 24inch deep tank which has a 2 t5ho setup at the moment but within the month will be upgrading to a 6 bulb t5ho setup!
so back to my question, which clam would be easiest to care for in my setup? preferably a rock dwelling clam more than a sandbed variety because there isnt much room at all on my sand. and nothing to massive because my tank is a 24x24x24

Crocea live in the rockwork, do not require phyto unless below 1" in length, and won't require MH.

Yeah seeing as my tank is 24 deep and I only have t5s than I
should definately keep a clam in the top half, which means a rock dwelling clam, crocea sounds about right than.. what about dosing/ feeding as well as lighting? And water quality? They need nitrates don't they? So a slightly overstocked tank is
    good with a clam?
    Any other opinions?

They will get plenty of Nitrates and Ammonia (along with Dissolved Organics) from the water and will be also fed by photosynthesis. There's no reason to overstock a tank under any circumstances.

Well I didn't mean massively overstocked, but if your running a lightly stocked tank with a fuge, which would mean pretty much zero nitrates. Than they would benefit from some nitrates in small amounts. But this doesn't effect me so when I get new lights a crocea might be the way to go
