    Ha ha, so this might not be the most brilliant thing you guys ever read, but here goes. I test my water a lot and am getting sick of those test tube caps leaking, and pulling them on off on again for mutliple liquid tests (nitrate, etc).. so took a generic "yellow" rubber glove , for cleaning.. and clipped the thumb off.. now when i need to "shake and bake" my test tubes, i just slip on my thumb glove and rock and roll.. really helpful for those tests where you have to add a drop at a time and shake.. just thought id share my little discovery ;D

    That's a great tip.

    But you have to make sure you rinse it well with RO water after each test.

    yeah, back in the day i was rinsing my tubes and everything with my sink water and im sure that was throwing things off.. good point.. these are the things "they" dont tell you and you dont know, untill "we" tell you.. ha ha ;)

    another thing people dont think about... test kits have expiration dates, and when they are out of date, they give false readings.

    what about rinsing with the same saltwater? unless your going to store them

    Hmm. idk, wont the saltwater leave dried salt, if you arent going to use them in like 5 days?
