I am going to be moving in about two weeks. I only have three fish right now in my 75g, however I plan on selling them to a fellow reefer or back to the store so I will only have to move corals. If I do this I will be able to bag up individually for a lot of them but a lot of the sps is encrusted on. I am going to try to keep a lot of the water and I am going to start with a new sand bed except I am going to keep the DSB wet that I have in my fuge.

All of the corals and rock will be in my truck for the four hour move, is there anything special I need to do?

I also wanted to re-paint the inside of my stand. Can I put the corals and rocks in the big rubber maid bins the night before with a powerhead the day before, and paint the stand. Then the next day I will move everything from the one rubbermaid bin to the rubbermaid bin I have in my truck.

Also how long can the corals be in a bin without a skimmer or anything? The only livestock would be some snails, and whatever is on the live rock.

They should be fine for the time you are talking if have circulation and heat in the bins.

Once everything is settled in at the new place, would anything help incase there is any die off? I dont want it to go through even a small cycle with my corals. I've got mostly SPS. Would something like MicroBacter 7 allow any bacteria to consume any excess nutrients? Or will I be fine especially since there is no fish.

I just moved about 3 weeks ago and I put everything in rubbermaid bins from lowes and everything was in there over night including my fish and only lost one cause it was crazy stressed. The only thing i recommend is a heater for sure if you are going to let them set they should be able to last atleast 2 days the coral that is because most of them are safe with 2 day shipping so should be safe in a bin :) hope that helps
