I have seen the "flip" type scraper and reviews were 50/50 on it. Most said it just didn't remove the Coralline well. Found this, not new but watched the video...impressive. You will need a Mag Float 350.

Like you, I use a razor super glued to one of those other scraper handles. But the video is intriguing. Just saw where you live. I grew up in Hazel Park, my sisters live in Troy, Warren and Madison Hgts. (12 and John R.) I have lived in North Clinton Township (Canal and Garfield) for the past 17 years. Nice to know there is someone relatively close, who knows, down the road I or you may need something. I was just thinking about this, I was going through my old stuff and found I think 5 power heads, 2 can be used as returns, anyway, glad to meet you.

I have a similar product and it works great for coraline removal. It scrapes everything off on the first pass. Please note that I have the blade removed in this picture. The blade housing is retractable, which I assume is intended for freshwater tanks if you just want to pull the blade back a bit to use the mag float only.

I was initially skeptical of how well it would work, and I was very pleasantly surprised by how well it cleaned. One advantage of the blade is that it gives you a little extra "reach" to get into tight corners where the mag float normally wouldn't fit.

If anyone is interested, I can find out the brand name. There's nothing marked on the plastic. But I will be going back to the LFS where I got it sometime today or tomorrow.

I remeber seeing these somewhere, but forget where. I was going to buy it, but razor blades were always easier to get a hold of.
