what is a good test kit to use. i am currently using hagen kits. i hate the calcium kit the most. you have to add a stupid amount of drops (chemicals) to get the ca level. are there better easier kits to use? posting this section in the reef forum because i would like to keep track of kh/alk/dkh no2 no2 amn etc, as i am keeping a nano. I have Salifert and API. I like the Salifert because I believe it is more accurate. I am switching to that. It is more cumbersome, but if it yields better results, I am all for it. As R34 stated.....pia.....it's a part of it.

Salifert and Elos are the 2 best IMO. I have a mixture of both and when they run out I am going to switch some of them up. With some test I like Elos and others I like Salifert. Great quality in them both. Costs a little more but great accuracy is well worth the price.

Elos is a lab-grade high-end test kit. Supposedly one of the "best of the best." I have had no issue with the quality of their kits, but some are just darned hard to understand!!
