Anyone ordered bulkheads from ebay? I find that they are pretty cheap, 4 for less than $20. Just wondering if it is a good idea to get them from Ebay than another online source.

They might be OK... I just really don't know.

Here is what I do know.... These bulkheads are all that stand in the way of potential disaster to your tank and home. Is it worth the chance to save $15.

Just because it is ebay doesnt mean something is instantly junk. Most of these are mass produced by several locations and finding the differences between one and another will be very minute at best. I havent seen many designer or brand name bulkheads either. The ones from ebay are probably the same sold by lowe's, home depot, marine depot, and are probably an overstock or bought when a shop went out of business. I wouldnt be so quick to judge.

Its kinda like car shocks. There are dozens and dozens of brand but if you research down the shock part mantufactors youll find that some of the components are only made by like 10 places, the rest is just your choice in paint & brand name sticker on it.

They sound legit enough. I haven't seen any brand names or anything either. Don't know how you can tell if you are getting a quality one. They all look the same, made with similar plastics, and rubber gasket. We are all looking for a way to make the hobby more affordable, we scour Craigslist, FST forums and eBay all the time to look for a deal.
