Scientific Name: Neopetrolisthes Oshimai
Common Names: Anemone Crab, Porcelain Crab, Porcelain Anemone Crab
Origin: (according to FreshMarine & Other Renowned Salty Sites) Indo-Australian, Hawaii, Indo-Pacific region including Indonesia

Care for Porcelain Anemone Crab:

Diet: It's a carnivorous filter feeder and will feed on detritus and meaty particles. It will also eat the mucus secreted by anemones.
It uses its setae to filter feed.

What I Feed it: Phytoplankton, Zooplankton, Copepods, Mysis, Cyclops, Scallop, Clams, Squid
Supplement: Iodine, Magnesium, and Calcium
Salinity Level (Specific Gravity): 1.023 - 1.025
pH Levels: 8.10 - 8.40
Temperature: Keep it around 75 degrees Fahrenheit
Maximum Size: 2"
Temperament: Peaceful
Reef-Safe?: Yes.

Unique Characteristics: Symbiotic with most anemones sold in LFS (Local Fish Stores), research and check with fish stores first before buying an anemone for the porcelain anemone crab.

Be Wary Of:
- THE CLAWS. lol. It's not a poisonous crab, but when it senses a threat, it will use its claws to defend itself.
- Adding other crabs as it may become aggressive towards them
- After it molts, it becomes very sensitive! Be wary of any water fluctuations or inhabitants that may irritate it. Adding Iodine, Magnesium, and Calcium may help its molting process.
- It is generally a very peaceful crab, but you just want to be wary of adding anything smaller than the porcelain crab. Luckily, the crab only grows to a maximum size of 2".
- Clownfish and Porcelain Anemone Crab may fight over an anemone. Be sure to provide it lots of space and an extra anemone when housing it with a Clownfish! (an anemone is not necessary, but it's nice to give it one)

Porcelain Anemone Crab Update:

Okay, so Chuck Norris molted today. Man, Chuck Norris loves being in the spotlight. Molts are not typically perfectly preserved as they are easily dismembered or parted when crustaceans are in the process of molting. Chuck Norris did something awesome today. Her molt looks like she BURSTED OUT of her molt while preserving the entirety of it (like how in the movie Aliens, the facehuggers burst from people's chests). Epic. +1 to Chuck Norris's Epic Adventures.
