To be clear, I called the 800 number, got a message, left my number and received NO response. I left multiple messages via their on line form and received a reply today asking for me to take the unit apart, take pictures and send the pictures to them. I did so this morning and have received no response.

In my humble opinion this is not stellar support.

Although I highly doubt you meant it, "To be clear" feels a bit hostile towards me :( I am only trying to help and posted direct contact info no one else offered up in this thread. I even offered to possibly get you a wetside while you waited for your issue to be resolved, did you see that part?

That doesn't sound like a very prompt CS response (although I don't know how long you've been trying) but being a CS guy for the marine trade myself amongst other things, I can tell you some times it takes a bit of time. Everyone I know that has gone through the CS process with ETM was satisfied in the long run so I'd work with them a bit and see where it takes you :)

I apologize if that came off the wrong way, I certainly meant nothing negative towards you at all. I was just trying to clearly lay out what I've been through with them so far, that's all. Okie dokie?

To be fair I think anyone who is in this position will start to get somewhat impatient waiting for something to happen. From my perspective, I've got a product that appears to be defective, and I'd like to get a replacement as quickly as possible. In all fairness I should have purchased a spare (I have spares of just about everything BUT this) just in case.

I didn't see your offer for the wet side, I appreciate that! But I hope that by the time it were to get here I'll have this all cleared up. I'm thinking I'll order a spare wet side tomorrow and have it sent overnight, so either way I should have this up by Wednesday. Thanks!

you can get just the bushings, that's all that should wear out under normal use. I am a big proponent of back up equipment, but it's a lot cheaper said than done.

Yup it's all Honky Dory now :) (is it Honky Dory, hunky Dory, or something else?...what ever I'm sure you all know what I mean  )

I couldn't have one to you by Wednesday so good deal :) It'll save you later head aches as well as it's not a bad idea at all to get a spare wetside. I know a few that clean theirs that way. It means no down time for them then :)

Being a Divemaster I tend to keep @ a bare min. double redundancy and I try to have triple when possible. Just posting that made me realize I do not have a spare MH ballast any longer after the last one burned out.

And trust me, I'm the last one to say I'm a patient person when it comes to stuff like this. IMO it helps me be a better CS person as I know how it feels.
