So I have a 180g with 3 radion gen 2's. I've been hearing a few different opinions as far as settings and intensity of the lights and what is popular and what places like vivid aquariums and even ecotech recommend or at least what most of their customers claim to set their lights at. I recently took my glass canopies off my tank and raised the light to 12in above the water. I previously rented a PAR meter and the difference in the PAR was substantial with and without the glass tops. So now I have the lights at 12in above the water and have both blues at 100%, white at 40% and currently the red and green are at 45% but I'm not really sure what to put the red and green at or what the benefit of having them at 100% or at 25% would be. And I have the brightness at 100%. Some may say that would be too much but I havnt seen any negative effects. Sorry for skipping around, but Vivid aquariums says they have their settings a both blues 100% white at 75% and blue and green at 18%, if I remember correctly and then the guy at ecotech said a lot of customers like both blues at 100%, white at 30-45% and the red and green at 25%. THis may all come down to personal preference and desired growth vs display, but can anyone just give a brief explanation of each color in the spectrum.
And again, sorry for skipping around and rambling.
