I have a 1st gen Radion on my 60g cube mixed reef and see that it comes with lots of preset color modes. my question is this, is there a specific color temp (12k, 14k, 18k, 20k) that is best for coral growth/color?

Sorry if this has been talk about but I can't seem to find an answer to this.

Thanks but that's not the question I'm asking.

I prefer 18-20k There is more than enough power to max out the longer spectrum growth wavelengths and keep awesome color.

14K is a balanced color temperature for a coral reef tank. I would recommend starting with that first.

Why don't you set it up progressively, meaning start out the day with 20K and lower brightness, and peak the mid day with the lower K, and highest intensity you choose for your tank, then progress downward as the day ends and finish with what you started with.

you want to work it the opposite method. 20k-18k-14-12k-14k-18k-20k
