your not retro fitting lunars. hes retro fitting to add color. his tank is 48 inches. he'll need more the panoramas. take it from me chelsea. I have been there.

 

a 48 inch tank would need no more than 2-3 panoramas to brighten up the tank and make things pop. stunners would work as well. he would need alot more however.

 

not sure where you get your leds from, or your knowledge, maybe a little google search next time will save you
4 LED moonilights

 

and at 70+ a pop, they add up fast on a large tank. you get more power and light from the rapid/modularled.ca leds and a better bang for your buck

 

i dont buy retrofit led's, from what i know the extra money i put into a fixture is totally worth it, i have to put no work into it (ill be the first to admit i am quite lazy) and the fixtures are very clean looking which is hard to achieve with a retro fit unless it is concealed into a canopy.

hes not looking for extra output, he wants something to make his corals pop, which is what stunners are made for!!

I really feel there is a lot of wrong information being posted in this thread...!!!!

Both DIY & Retrofit have benefits and draws but before we start shooting out random numbers lets do some research before we all start posting on here.

There is no such thing as a couple hundred dollar moon light kit!!! You can spend 18 bucks at Rapid and it comes with 4 LEDs w/driver.

Lastly lets go over a few things here about Stunners & Pros..
A Stunner is made to add accent and shimmer to your existing lights.
A Panorama Pro is made to replace existing lights and in some cases add more light to T5/MH light setups.

 

Awesome color and thanks for pictures. I am planning to get two 36" Ecoxotic stunner strips and find way to mounting them on my Aquaticlife T5 fixture.
