EEEK! Bulb Selection!

    I recently modded 2 2x150W HQI MH fixture to a single 150, added 4 3W CREE LEDs and attached 2 39W T5HO (retrokit) to the sides of the fixture. I'll get a before/after pic up soon. I want a 14K look, and am seeking bulb selection advice.

    The 3W LEDs are all Royal Blue, and will run 24/7. I guessed on a Fiji Purple or Purple Plus for one of the T5's, and a Blue Plus for the other. Will a 14K Phoenix or Ushio make things "too blue?" Would a 10K 150W be better?

    If you are looking for a 14K look I would say you will need a 10K MH bulb.

    Did you say you modded 2 2x150s down to 2 1x150s? Not sure if I read that right. I'm not sure if your leds and t5s will be enough to make 2 10k bulbs look 14k. I love those 14k phoenix bulbs but they look 20k.

    Yes, I modded 1 2x150W DOWN to a single 150W. It is over a 30 Gal 16" Deep...2x150 and 2 39W T5's seemed a bit overkill...
