Eel is diggin caves in sand under LR

    i dont know what type of eel i have, still trying to figure it out. but he is diggin. is this bad or ok.:confused:

    Did you put your rocks in before your sand, or did you set your rocks on top of it.

    the sand went in first but i made sure the rocks were pushed in the sand. so i hope if they shift they wont fall.

    yeah man, if you are not sure, you need to rearrange them. If they collapse they very well could smash your glass and damage proceeds from there.

    it shouldn't be able to get under the LR in the sand... it needs to be on the glass.

    go ahead and take hope out of the equation.

    he is piling sand up in mounds. will this be a problem because it makes the sand bed a couple inches thick is some areas???

    Shouldn't be a problem, your CuC will stir them up a bit, and the eel is more than likely going to continually rearrange the mounds anyway.

    I have a damsel that does that.I have 6 inches of sand at the front of the tank and very little under the rocks.No amphipods left that I can see either 'cuz he dug them all out.
