Egg crate under Metal Halides?

thats exactly what I had, and it still managed to jump.

this screen actually was a "lighting" one to stop the loss of light. I couldnt tell a difference whenever I put it over the tank.

 

Do you guys think the aluminum will have any side effects on the tank? Ive read about people using it with no issues, and I bought the same thing they did, so I hope I get the same results. It has me kind of worried...I do not want to worry about contaminating the tank.
