egg crates under lr

    I have never had any problems without an eggcrate base. My rocks never moved, but again if it makes you feel more safe then go for it.....

    Abother way to keep the rock off the glass is to use short pieces of PVC, I used 4" PVC cut to about 2" and put my main rock pieces on it to keep it off the sand, was going to use eggcrate but didn't want To cover 2" of my LR with sand, and since I plan on getting a shrimp/goby pair that will dig, this will keep everything nice and stable.

    Just another alternative to the eggcrate

    I did this exact same thing with 11 sections that I placed in the shape of a "W" on the bottom glass. I then drilled three 1.5" inch holes in each section to allow water to pass through them
