    Hey Everyone,
So I was cleaning the tank this weekend and I took a closer look behind the rocks and i noticed this, well it looks like a spiders egg sac, thats the best way to describe what it looks like to me. it is approx 1/4" diameter and 1/4" tall off the rock. I did not try to remove it because if it is something bad i dont want to break it open and it get in the display but i would like to know what it is so i could get it out safetly. sorry the pictures arent so great but thats the best i could do. (At least i wont get the "This thread is usless without pictures" Smileys.

thanks for the help, i appreciate it.

I think you are describing a sponge. A clear picture would help.

Sorry diver dan but the pics are too fuzzy for me to make a positive ID - perhaps someone out there can id with the pictures provided but an in-focus macro shot would likely provide enough detail for a confident ID.

I have sponges (or are they tunicates? idk) that look exactly like what you describe, and are the approximate shape and color of the little blob in the picture.
