    Me thinks you replace that with a par30 bulb from boostled and you could have yourself a nice little reef.

    The way they have the fixture set up would make that pretty hard - I'll bet anyone a brand new shiny nickel that any kind of soft coral would be just fine under it. The reef one will be interesting to see too.

    I think these series of tanks are good jack of all trades types. Planted/Shrimp/Reef. Gotta find a new place to put it - I've got a slight lean on the counter top, and putting it in the only other spot on the counter would make it a pain in the behind to do maintenance on!

    Awesome! One thing I am curious about is that the literature says 6500k but the videos show a much bluer spectrum - seeing it first hand, what can you tell us about that?

    I'd have to guess its 6500-6700. Since this is "really" for a planted/shrimp FW tank, it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

    I'll have a thread a pics up tonight - got back from Target to pick up an end table to put it on. :)
