    I am purchasing a maxi jet 1200, and need new tubing. Which Eheim tubing size would be the best to connect to the pump?

    take it in and fit it yourself, i think its like 5/8" i have purchased the wrong size tubing many times so just take the pump into Ace or Lowes or wherever and fit the thing yourself.

    The outlet of the mj is 1/2 od. 1/2" vinyl tubing fits over it nice and snug. Eheim ???

    Yes, it should be 1/2. I would do what Ash said and go into Lowes, Home Depot ect... and match them up.
