ehsopps not working

the skimmer isent returning ANY water at all and only a very small amount of bubbles are in the chamber-.- anyone else come into this problem

 

If it isn't exiting, then is it blowing it out of the collection cup area? If the pump is on and it's not completely clogged, it must be going somewhere. Obviously sounds like something clogged.

 

could it be a pump issue? ive seen these skimmers working and its putting very little bubbles in the chamber and not really taking much water in i think

 

Definitely. I would disconnect the pump from the skimmer and see if it seems as though it's producing the usual flow. If it seems as though you're getting flow but few bubbles, check the venturi hose and insure it is not clogged. I'm not experienced with the Eshopps skimmers, but I thought I heard they had some issues with their pumps?

 

they did but they had changed to mag 7s i think thats what this is if i got one of the outdated skimmers id be pretty pissed off

 

I do like Eshopps and currently have some of their equipment, but I personally wouldn't use their skimmers. I prefer Aqua Euro, SWC and my current skimmer: AquaMedic.

 

If your pump is working check your Air tubing front to back for Salt buildup inside. Mine builds up at the pump conection and limits the bubbles.

 

its brand new,and it wasent break in period because the pump was junk ill never buy another skimmer im going to rely on my dsb and fuge in the making

its already boxed ready to go back

and i seem to have extremely good results with purigen and removing organics
