Any opinions on either of these as a rule? Guy at the LFS basically throwing them at me?

i have some Electric blues, seem to be gentle giants. i was told they would eat all algae but have not witnessed this at all. They do run around a lot and tend to topple corals daily. all 4 of mine are in Babylon snail shells

Thanks, I was told the same about being a bit of a bulldozer, but my turbo snail has already broken me in on that front.

I've heard so many bad things about hermits but I've never really has any problems....

can say the same about my coral banded shrimp & my six line wrasse as well. I think my rogue gallery just seems to blend well.

I have a friend that says his blue eats hair algae like a machine.

Heard bad things about the zebra stripped though. I believe I had to get rid of mine because it got too big and was eating snails.

I've been watching the blue for the past few hours and currently he's hanign out with a hermit about 1/5th his size happily plucking crud from a rock. As for that zebra, he's a little guy about 3/4 of an inch across the back, I can't find it so I don't know if he's misbehaving.

The guy at the LFS saw that I was interested in it and told me taht I could buy any three other items no matter how cheap and he would give me the zebra 50% off plus he would give me 20% off the other cheap items. So when all the dust settled I ended up getting two regular hermits, the large electric blue and the zebra crab for $14.00 which was the price of the Zebra to begin with.

I actually do have a zebra hermit as well, and he stays up on a rock ledge and never gets near any of the corals.

This is the one I'm referring to.

Ok disregard my previous post. I was way off, I was thinking hermit.

Very cool crab, how reef safe they are, you will probably have to be the ginnie pig on that one.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out!
