    I had the pristine water conditions and a "easier" to keep australian elegance. It still died, seems like its luck of the draw and all the stars have to align for it to survive. Good luck with yours

    Supposedly they like nutrient rich water opposite of the SPS. I thought the Australian ones are very hardy?

    aussie ones are very hardy. They also like more nutrient rich waters and they also like to be on the sand bed. They grow in lagoonal waters same as most of your brains and other common lps in the trade. Just a little insight. I think your elegance will be fine though. Most of the time when they begin to deteriorate, their oral disk will puff up real big and their tentacles will shrink and this causes too much oxygen in their bodies. Why they do this, NOONE knows but they surely do. It's one way when you can tell an elegance is going down.

    Dunno, i have always heard that they have been shaky corals along the lines of a goniopora, hows your iodine?

    I never test for iodine. The Elergance looked better today. Not great but improving.
