Does anyone have any experience with elegance corals. What kind of lighting, flow, feeding, tank location, exc. do they require? Pictures would be nice also. ;D

I have had one for about 1.5 yrs. If you look in my tank build you will see pics of it. I feed it 2 or 3 dime size pieces of fresh shrimp every 3 to 5 weeks and have it under 400w MH's on bottom of a 30" deep tank. Mine likes eratic flow but not blasted by PH's. Running carbon is a must to keeping mine happy.

Generally speaking there are two types, one that comes from Australia and one that I believe comes from Indonesia. The one that comes from Australia seems to be much hardier than the Indonesian one, it may be the Indian Ocean. Besides that, you should keep it away from other corals because it will sting them and kill them.

I don't have one but I really want one. From what I have read they used to be extemely hardy but over the past few years they have had issues with them. I have three different Lfs in my area and one of them has one that they have had for a few months. It's very tempting but I want to make sure all of my parameters are in check and that I learn as much as I can about them first.

I have one now about a year on the sandbed. They like moderate flow. I feed mine with a turkey baster every week. My Elegance hosts my clownfish. I was told that recently the ones being distributed are from Australia or from areas near Australia.

Thanks to all for the info. K+ to you all. I am afraid I don't have the room or the lighting for one yet. Guess i will add it to the list of stuff I want when I am rich and famous.
