i have a healthy elegance for about a year now in my tank i just dont want it to die. i picked up a couple new ones that didnt look so hot from the LFS to try and save.

Has anyone ever had a healthy elegance coral and lost it due to adding another one to the system or possibly that may be your explanation for your healthy ones death?

Just dont want to lose my babyyyyyy

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
IME this is a coral that does really well in some tanks and dies off slowly or quickly in others.

Yours is beautiful, looks like they do very well in your tank.

Myself would not be too worried about introducing something from the newer pieces unless they were suffering from Brown Jelly Disease or had signs of bacterial infection.

That is one of the best elegance corals I have ever seen! :) What kind of light do you have him under?!?!? I thought about building a nano specifically around an elegance becuase of their "dirty" water and light sensitivity!

I bought my elegance about 3 years ago and it was the size of my fist. When I tore my reef down 6 weeks ago it was 12" across when fully open. It definitely was the king (or queen) of my system.

I'm guessing (and it's just a guess) that it would be ok to keep them near each other although personally I wouldn't do it, but that's just me. My reef was mixed, with some softies and some sps, but mainly I had lps. A lot of lps are aggressive as are some softies and sps, but elegance corals are definitely aggressive. I always found that my corals did better when they had their own space and weren't really really close to other animals. My tank was a 65g. tall, so it was only 3' wide. My elegance took up 1/3 of the bottom of the tank and it tried to wipe out several other corals that were a good 6" away from it. Again, yours may be fine since they're all the same animal, IDK. However, if one is struggling maybe it would be best to pamper all three and give each one some room. Just my .02 cents.

It is possible that a pathogen has been introduced (doesn't seem like the case here though), or that there is chemical warfare. Have you replaced your carbon with fresh? Might help.
