    that doesn't sound like a high bio-load to me. how is the circulation in the tank? i have had to increase my circulation in the past when my nitrates started elevating. you can also start adding vitamins to your food such as selcon or kent zoe. this won't help with the params but could help the fish immunity. also, if you ever get a tang again, you might offer seaweed (nori).

    my flow is pretty good, i dont think thats the issue. i went to the local fish store and got some amquel ammonia denitrifier. i dosed it accordingly and i'll keep checking my levels daily

    my TDS coming of my RO/DI is zero. I got it used so I replaced all 4 filters and membranes to start

    thanks again for everyone's input

    Hey man, hows the tank going? Your clowns on the mend i hope? Don't fret too much if it went down hill... we all go through it, just pick up and start again (Slow...) I might add, chromis are a wonderful starter fish and cheap as hell (typically $5-8 each)... better than losing $40-50+ in fish...

    Sorry to hear about your losses but I think it's like this:

    PBT = ich magnet even more so than many other tangs.
    90 gallon tank = too small for a PBT
    PBT = stress = ich = death

    Hope the clowns fair better.

    I think ur right on the tang thing mine did horrable in the quarantine tank. Took me quite awhile to get mine healthy. Think its all a prefrence im lucky cuz my LFS has there own quarentine system there fish sit in there for 4 weeks they all get meds on a schedule that is posted right there for everyone to see. Think thats why they bring in so much business I know when I saw this I was like wow. But quarantine is always a good idea if you have the room for another tank. I just never had luck with them.
