thanks Ryan, I often state this hobby is like trying to keep a beach ball underwater, it's a balancing act. The secret is there is no secret. Remember only bad things happen quickly in reef keeping. ;D

Im still in the beginning stages of reef keeping. I could save myself a ton of cash by shutting my tank down and just watching this vid over and over.... Very Nice!!

    many thanks Green_Clavulari

besides the usual fiddling around with inspecting and adjusting livestock, I clean the algae turf scrubbers weekly on average, clean the front viewing panel twice a week and sides/back monthly, empty Barr skimmer reservoirs weekly, I like to hand feed daily a little in addition to the auto feeder (highly recommend you try this, you will get much more enjoyment getting up close and personal), change out the carbon every three weeks, replenish the 300g seawater reservoir every two weeks on average, replenish the Ca, Alk and Mg reservoirs every few months on average, swap out the UV bulbs annually, change poly filter every three months, replace half of miracle mud annually, change GFO as needed, weekly (unless off, then more often) check SG, Alk, Ca, Mg, Phos, and much less often Nitrate and Ammonia since these are always zero

I spend much more time than I need to only because it's therapy for me, brings a lot of enjoyment, however I have enough things automated to leave the tank for a few weeks ;D

    many thanks rc_mcwaters3

I'm not too heavily stocked, I think there are 31 fish, many are very small

I've never had a stocking list, I like to "discover" new fish/coral in local stores or online, it's more fun that way and keeps my interest

Elliot I didn't see Miracle Mud in your equipment list - what has been your experience with it? Many here have been curious but it often gets written off.. I have seen Leng's mud tanks up close and was impressed but don't see many in the wild..
