    Hey all,

Just noticed that my emerald crab has died in a crevice of a pile of rocks. It looks like he is "belly up". It's kind of hard to see for sure, but I am reasonably sure he is a goner. This is a first for me. Never lost anything I couldnt get out.

I have a great CuC. Hermits, snails, chitons, limpets (reefcleaners.org). My question is will they take care of him?

Based on coral growth and the way my rocks are stacked it might be darn near impossible to get him out without taking the whole right side of my tank apart.

    Any advise or insight?

Are you sure it is the actual crab and not his molt? I thought that mine was dead, even when I fished out his "body", then I saw this giant emerald (I only had one). Closer inspection of the shell showed no eyes and then I opened it up and it was just an empty shell.

I am reasonably sure it is him. Although, where it is at, deep in a crevice is hard to tell. I had not seen him lately. I know they go into hiding during the molt, but I guess I will be able to tell in a day or so....
