    I don't trust any crab.

    Arrow crabs:
"Although notorious for becoming territorial in reef aquariums, yellowline arrow crabs can nonetheless be helpful when kept in an aquarium, by eating bristle worms and other aquarium pests. They move surprisingly quickly for their ungainly appearance, and use their muscular legs to defend themselves against predators. Yellowline arrow crabs are nocturnal animals, which do all of their scavenging during the nighttime, and are rarely seen out during the daylight hours. These crabs do not fear divers who try to take photos of them, but can be quite territorial towards other animals."

    "Killer Crab" - WARNING! (12-10-2003, 02:34 AM)

Sorry, pics no longer exist, but was a little fuzzy brown devil. Think we all decided it was called a Gorilla Crab. [IMG]

Catching was tough. Had something to do with a minature version of my crab net out in garage...small net, bait with piece of line attached & many long hours of patient waiting and repeated failures. But being both stubborn (and angry) finally got 'em.

Think it may still reside in freezer somewhere.

I have the same problem with my emerald crabs

I had a total of 4 emerald crabs. The large one has killed 2 already and had the smallest one in its grip when I saw him! This guy is a killer. Last night I had one of my blue neon hermit crabs and was trying to devour it.

I've lost 10 snails and I thought I was doing something wrong - but now I know it's Fritz (yes, I name my just about everything in my tank). So I'm giving Fritz and Tiny (the smaller of the two) away.

Anybody in the Pacifica CA region want a couple of crabs?

I had one that attacked the snails but others on this forum are of a different opion. They are definitely cool but I myself am a bit hesitant about getting one...

Movie of Fritz trying to kill Tiny

I caught Tiny in the clutches of Fritz - terrible! So I know he's a killer.
