What do you think is more of a possibility? him eating at the zoas or or at the zoa rock? He's skittish so when i would move close to him he would stop but where he was poking at on the zoa frag rock their all closed up.

do you think there was just something on the frag rock? im hoping thats all he was doing as it would be hard to catch him if he starts eating corals

    OM NOM NOM!!!

Seriously though, I doubt he is. He may be just picking at it or trying to get some algae thereabouts. I have had ZERO issues with coral om nom with my emeralds.

That said, keep an eye out for the behavior, do a head count on the zoas, and watch for intermittent damage to the heads. And of course make sure he is getting food of sorts. :)

is he nipping at it? harming it? you could get a container and let him spend the night if you are really worried. ( i did that with my skunk cleaner shrimp when i had to take my tank down once)

its really hard to say, like i noticed he was mainly poking at the parts of the coral that looked bleached that which are the very tips of the coral and no where else, he was also climbing all over the coral and putting his claw in his mouth, i didn't see anything in his claws i was thinking it could possibly be the polyps but i didnt see what he was eating at, the zoas look ok, their open again and look unharmed, and after poking around at the birdsnest after 30 seconds he got off.

and the container is a good idea, but i dont have one
