So I bought a couple of emerald crabs the other day to battle my bubble algae and the largest of the three I just noticed is living in my pocillepora(sp? I think that's the corals name too) . Will this be a problem in the future? It shows no ill effects at the moment but its only been a couple days.

I have a crap load of bubble algae in my sump and now a starting to get into my DT..I have 4 emerald crabs and must say that they are slacking in their job if they are 'supposed" to help get rid of it. But to answer your question, they are supposedly to be reef safe.

When I first dropped them in one immediately started to eat the bubble algae and then made his home in that coral which just so happens to be adjacent to the main infestation lol.

I recently added some orange & black hermits that like to hang out in my SPS during the daytime. Maybe it's something in the water right now? ;D

Corals don't seem to mind much, at least for now.

Corals should be fine and the residence should be temporary IME.
