can't find it annywhere, i've only had him for 48 hours. I haven't started moving the rock work around or anything. When i first dumped him in he dug himself a hole under a rock in the front of the tank, then went away for a while then came back under the rock?

When should i start worring, or is this normal for crabs? Nothing that i have is able to eat/injure it. I just don't want to have a dead crab somewhere in my tank then have a tank start to crash because of it.

My emrald crab was MIA for about 2 months. Just saw him yesterday for the first time. He'll do that from time to time. Never calls, doesn't bother...like I don't even exist!! Hmph!! Some crab he is.

they crawl into holes and crevices of rocks. I never, ever see mine until I happen upon him while rockscaping

kind of scary when your working around on the rocks, like placing a coral, if he pinchies your finger it would really hurt. Glad i got a picture of him when i did.

Maybe it will get huge so i will be harder for it to hide. That would be cool, but scary. My friend had one that was larger than a 50 cent piece, quite a bit bigger actually.
