    My emerald crab has lots of white on his shell, and is doing just fine, let me see if I can post a pic.

    I'm leaning toward it's getting ready to molt. We have 3 (1 red, 2 green) of which 2 are getting ready to molt & they're getting whitish, duller, and their eyes are also clouded over. They're getting ready to shed that exoskeleton and you can tell they're uncomfortable. Not sure I buy the whole green algae making them green business, since they come in green, red, black, and brown also LOL.

    is he getting enuff to eat? i heard healthy ones are green and that red ones are ones that took too long to molt and white are unhealthy. the black and brown ones are different crabs of the same species or whatever.
    6 months is the average they last in reef tanks. about a year at most.

    Red are healthy I just had one of mine molt. The first successful molt of a Mythrix for me.
