emerald crabs molting?

what do they look like when they molt? I have one that hasnt moved in a day and looks whitish instead of green maybe he is dead?

 

sounds like molt, mines done that a couple of times and I thought he was dead, haha

 

lol okay i thought mine is dead also how long did it molt for?

 

it usually stays hidden while its going on and then I find the molt and think its dead everytime, and then a couple days later I find him. Its usually bright white-ish but last time it happened there was some red and green coloring on it, so thats why i thought it.

 

My 2 emeralds are going through molting right now also. they are greyish white in color and not really moving. They come out a few days later usually.

 

check carefully

if you dont see eyes, then it may well be just the empty shell/ skeleton
