I have acquired an annoying bout of bubble algae and am trying to decide what to do about it. I have a 110 gal with lots of eclectic Lps coral, tons of cuc, and two occ clowns . I am trying to decide whether I should risk an emerald crab to clean things up or a fox face rabbit fish. I think fox faces are ugly as sin.... Oey! There is a chance that either one could pick on my coral, or so I have read. Anybody have suggestions for my situation? Which one do you think is the safest route or is there another option?

Get the emerald crab.. I think they do a better job at cleaning the algea, and if you hate the foxface that much (idk why its one of my favorites) then i wouldnt buy the fish. Also emeralds are cheaper so you can probably get more

I think getting to the root of the algae is the only way to go. Sure the crab will help, but adding a fish to a tank just for algae removal is bad husbandry. More problems could arise.
    Are you:
    Over feeding
    Running an Extended photo period
    Have Lack of filtration
Whats your water source? Rodi or tap?

That is good advice. I only have a couple of bubbles though, nothing crazy going on. Everything you listed is in check.

Try a crab or two. Wouldn't hurt. I'm sure they'll be okay on other algae they'll find n hopefully the bubble but it's not garunteed.

Yep, I'll probably try the crab. Thanks!
