I agree with what everyone has said here. I do believe that if they feel like there is a lack of food source that they will become an oportunistic feeder. When I did introduce my 2 clownfish into the tank, one of them did try to grad at one of them. The clowns paid them no attention, and it wasn't really an issue at all. I've two of them for quite awhile now.

I have read where they can be territorial towards each other, so they should have plenty of room to themselves. IMO, this isn't true. Often times I see them on the same rock lol.

I wouldn't add emeralds unless you contract bubble algae and have too. As they get bigger small fish become menu items for emeralds.

I have several in my 72 to combat BA, but I watch their size because one day I'm gonna return them to the LFS.

Have you seen yours eat bubble algae? That is the reason why I got mine, but I haven't seen them eating any of my bubble algae yet.

My bubble algae is red, and it used to be green. I'm sure this is just a different strain of bubble algae, but it seems like my emerald crabs pay no attention to it lol. Maybe they are getting to much of another food source lol.

I've had 2 for about 4 weeks now and they grow quick! They're leaving my polyps, mushroom and tree coral alone!

I hand feed mine some crab cuisine every know and then and my coral banded shrimp, just to keep them happy and off other stuff! The shrimp and big emerald come flying out like kids after an ice cream truck when they smell the food! The big coral is def aggressive towards my hand and will chase it around! Grabbed ahold the other day and wouldn't let gp till i gave him the food! Little bastard! lol

speaking of which! Where can i find a long set of tweezers/tongs etc to target feed! As much fun as it is to tame these lil guys i hate sticking my hand in all the time and risk contamination!

Your local fish store? Mine didn't have tongs but they had acrylic sticks. I've also used shiskabob sticks.
