I did a 10 % water change. After the reading of ammonia.

    Nitrites - .1 ppm
Nitrates still read 0 (guess it has not been converted yet)

I will check ammonia tomorrow to see if ammonia has lowered to see about LFS holding.

My Question now... My yellow tang is still holding on but it does not look like it can make it. I currently have it in a floating brooding tank for cichlids that floats on the surface. I wanted to see if being close to surface with good current would help. It is laying on the bottom of it. What are chances, if any, it will live? Should I euthanize it? and if so how?

I dont know if you should euthanize it or not....might want to give it some time to see if he recovers.....that is what I would do. But you are the one that can see how he looks. Do you have any extra air pumps that you can place in there to increase the circulation? What dose of prime did you put in? Do the emergency dose of it, I think it is 3x the amount. Turn off the lights and leave them off today and maybe tomorrow

I would not crank the heaters up either....raise the temp gradually.

If you choose to euthanize place it in a bag of saltwater (enough to completely cover the fish with some room) and put it in the freezer. Saltwater takes longer to freeze then normal water...so dont rush to take it out. Sounds cruel I know but it puts them to sleep (the cold dose) and this is what many of the pros recommend. I had to do it to a linka star that I stupidly bought and it started to disintegrate when I first started this tank

Good luck and sorry for your losses!

Thanks for the info everyone. Only 2 soldiers down after two days no power... so far. I guess that is as good as could be expected.
