well, as of this morning the water is getting clearer not as cloudy as it was Sunday. The PS is producing some gunk but I guess I will have to keep messing with the valve. The temp is between 74 to 78. i have 30lbs of LV with 55lbs of LS. What is even better is that the blonde naso, maroon clown and dogface puffer are doing just fine. I tested the water yesterday twice and the paremeters where good. I cant return the Seaclone because I put it in my tank and the LFS wont accept it back, fine by me. I guess now I just need to get a better filter to help out the cause...Any suggestions?

 

did your emperor come with 2 empty filters? if it did and it should have, put carbon in them(Bulk Reef Supply - Bulk Reef Supply), buy it in bulk since you will be doing a lot of filter changes. Carbon will make your water clear. Use this stuff called quilt batting and wrap around the outside once with it. secure with a hair rubber band, the kind that is wrapped in thread. One should do ya. Take the other filters out and chunk em. If you wanna go all out, you can get replacement empty filters and have 4(filters) running all the time. With your load, I would say it would be a good idea. Oh yeah, you can get quilt batting in the sewing section of Wal Mart or any craft store..Michael's, Hancock Fabrics......

 

it has room for 4 filters and i do have chempure in there as well, the water has cleared up and all livestock are back to normal for what i see. i was just wondering what would be a good filter to purchase to replace the emperor and to utilize the PS that i have now. the lfs wont take back the PS cause i have put it in my tank already...looking for something to put under my tank not a hangon...
