Soooo I have an empty 28 gallon CF quad JBJ Nano cube. I would like some ideas on what to do with it. Can be fresh or salt, but I kinda want something unique.

This tank have been a planted tank and reef tank before. Just tore it down because the only thing in it was algae. lol. I cleaned it out and got the itch to start a new tank. ;D
I was thinking of breeding shrimp again but my strain of red cherries is pretty weak. (bred hundreds from the same original 5 shrimp)
Not really interested in a frag tank or a Q-tank.

So yeah kinda wanted something out of the ordinary, and unique. Wife wants seahorse but I dont want something that high maintenance.

    Thanks guys :)

wow thanks for the ideas. I really like the pipe fish or fu-manchu. I'll have to look into those species a bit more before I ask my LFS to special order something. I'm kinda hesitant on the Mandarin though because I see them starve to death in my LFS tanks all the time and don't really want to buy or breed pods contently.

As of right now the cube was transformed into freshwater last night and I took all my shrimp out of my planted tank and into the cube today. (I dont really want to breed shrimp, its more of a refuge right now because my discus were eating them all. lol)

I was looking at pipefish on live aquaria and noticed they were all expert only. Im guessing that is because they require live foods such as pods and baby brine shrimp? Hell if I was going to do that I might as well get the seahorses my wife has been bugging me about. rofl

How about a riparium or paludarium?
