Trying to get everything planned for the next upgrade and was hoping for some inout. DT will be a glass 180 and the sump will be my acrylic 125 . . . I think I'm covered, but not 100% sure. The return pimp will be a mag 18 run through a 3-4 outlet manifold (only 1 or 2 will be used initially) run through a SCWD. The tank is drilled kinda oddly already, but I figure I can use it for a closed loop. So I would like to use an Iwaki WMD-40RLXT with 4 outlets through 2 bulkheads 3" from the bottom on the rear glass (thinking about going bare bottom so sand storms wont be an issue) also run through a SCWD.

And finally I was thinking about modding my K4's to push 3000 gph each and have them mounted in the rear sides pointing towards the middle of the front glass. Depending on how froggy I get, I might try to DIY some swirl steins to really throw some alternating flow around.

Does that sound like a solid plan or is there anything different I should be looking into? All pumps listed are on hand and I would like to utilize them to keep initial costs to a minimum.

    Thanks!

    ~Will.

That sounds like a very good base point to start at. with a tank that large you may find some more dead areas that will need to be addressed down the road. Are you planning on moving all your rock over or curing new rock?

Ok, I ran the math and that plan should give you a minimum of 40x turnover. That should be a very good starting point.
