So, I fragged a branch from my brother's neon green candy cane coral and I'm wondering if I can put it in my tank. The only thing is I'm not sure if there's enough light. I've got a bright green frogspawn in there that has been loving it. How do the 2 corals compare with light requirements? The current lighting is actinic. I'd have to check the specs.

Do you have PCs, T5s? Both can supply actinic lighting.

    PC's. It's a built-in hood set-up.

It's a 10 gallon nano. Does PL 36W H mean anything? I'm certainly not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to lighting haha.

-2 bulbs: 1 daylight and 1 actinic white, I believe.

well it sounds like youve got a 36 whatt bulb, if i read correctly your only running actinics?, i wouldnt keep any corals unless you get a daylight in there as well.

I have always heard a good role of thumb with good lighting for corals is 5 watts per gallon. So if you have a 10 gal tank that would be 50watts. (correct me if im wrong)

Hmmm... Well, the bright green frogspawn has been in there for about 2 months and is doing great. Is that any indication as to whether or not there may be enough light for a candy cane coral?

One of the bulbs is day light and I think the other is actinic white.
