Does anyone know what is the best epoxy for live framing and can it be found at the local hardware places (Home Depot, Lowes, Ace)?

I think he is referring to the live framing in the Marine and reef annual 2008 thing. I have absolutely no clue on this one bud. Hopefully one of the more savvy reefers with give you his 2 cents on this. Good luck!

There are several good epoxies that you can use, two of them being Devcon 11600 and Aquarium Systems' Holdfast Epoxy. Both of these are in log form, you then need to kneed the two parts together and apply. It cures underwater. The Devcon 11600 I believe can be found at a local hardware store or large retailer. The Aquarium systems Im not too sure about. Hope this helps

    I found the epoxy

Thanks for the tips. I actually found the right stuff at a marine boat shop by my house. Its totally safe for the environment so the tank is in good shape. I did read the article in Marine Fish 2008 and thought I'd give this a try since this is my first reef set up. It amounts to using PVC pipes as the base for the rock and epoxying on the segments. It"s like putting the branches on a fake Christmas tree. You can put small pvc parts onto the rock and "hook it" into the larger pvc base. It has been pretty easy so far once I have gotten the right stuff. I'll have pics pretty soon.

The brand is handyman marine epoxy. It comes in liquid and stick form. I have both.
