I am new to the hobby and when we set up our tank we did not glue our rocks together. Not very smart! In reading I am seeing that many people glue them together.

My tank is established and has about 50lbs of live rock, 1 clown, 1 chromis, 3 Duncan Heads and 1 small rock full of polyps. Does anyone know of the best way to glue our reef together, as well as gluing in our duncan? What type of epoxy do I use that is safe for the fish and could possibly use in wet conditions without changing the water parameters? Can I glue the rocks together while they are still in the tank and not have to take them out?

    Thanks

most LFS sell tubes or 2 part epoxy that you rub together and apply underwater. it will set in your tank. most ones ive seen are green but mix white

Save your money and go to HomeDepot. Buy AquaMend. It's the same exact stuff for a third of the cost. It's what I use and I learned about it from others on forums like this one. ;)

The Oatley stuff (plumbing department) works as well, just don't use it on corals with very thin skeletons as it gets hotter than some of the others.

Get the AquaMend. It's exactly the same stuff the hobby industry sells. I use it for corals and rocks alike. The only thing is that it cures white but it covers in coralline pretty quick.

Ok so I went to 2 Home Depots and none of them had it. Has anyone had any success using JB Weld Waterweld? I have seen some people use it but I want to be able to put it all together in the tank without harming the fish. I have seen some people say to leave it out for 24 hours before you put it back in the tank.
