This is a tactic used by law enforcement...they charge you with multiple crimes that are defined exactly the same.

if the thread can be left open for people to express positive comments about one of the "faces" of our hobby, that would be great

who knows, maybe Eric checks out forums from time to time
and on other sites he sees
opening of old wounds
accusations of wrong doings

but on this site all he sees are respectful comments and well wishes about a individual who has definitely contributed to advancement in our hobby

and maybe if thats all he did see
he would join and post!

and that would be a positive step in the right direction IMHO

When someone this big in the hobby gets arrested, it's going to be discussed. Word travels quickly. This thread is to funnel comments and make sure they are fair and nothing gets out of control.

 

Ok I see where you are coming from. Idk It would be different if people were saying I wish you luck to get in the right path. I am not flaming I am just talking.

As a kid my friends and I always went pool hopping and never really saw the harm in it (until one day some old man chased after us threatening to shoot us with his gun)

However when I grew up, my parents got a pool. That changed the my whole view on the situation. The liabilty of owning a pool is very high. My biggest fear was some kid getting in there and drowning. We had all sort of alarms on that pool, fence padlocked, motion sensor lights......but it still was scary to think someone could get in there and get hurt! They have since taken the pool down.......

Whatever the situation, I hope he can recover and do whatever he needs to do to get through this!

So he went for a swim and ran from the cops, no big deal. I've done far worse, and ran a little faster. ;D

 

poor guy just wanted to take a swim, and they didnt even let him comb his hair before the photo, he had pool hair. sorry but i find this silly. slap the guy on the wrist and let him go.

 

I read this story in Adv. Aquarist the other day... kind of bizarre... It seems that this has no bearing on the hobby, and just because he is a face doesn't make this anyone's business but his own...
