BTW how do you like your Aqua C Remora skimmer?? I am about to invest in one for my 18 gallon, but not quite sure yet, any pro's or con's?

    Thanks nano!!

about the remora, it's a good skimmer...it pulls out some pretty dark stuff, it does it's job pretty well! the only con i could think of, and many remora owners would probably agree with me, is the noise. it's kinda loud. But there are many ways to work around the noise...so if you have your heart set on it, definitely get it!!

I was thinking about getting an octopus to replace the remora once the sump was installed, but i don't think i had enough room.

Cool tank. I just wanted to second the Yashia goby vote even though I know it wasn't in your initial either/or statement. I just got one with a candy stripe pistol shrimp and they are awesome, the shrimp is so industrious, tunneling around, and the goby just hangs out watching out for his buddy doing all the work. You could go with a cheaper shrimp/goby pair as well, I think the Yashia and Candy Stripe have some of the nicer colorings though from what I've seen.

I'm a sucker for symbiotic relationships like that though.

    well, thats it for now..

    Just a few questions:
on the candy cane coral...the largest polyp looks kinda smushed (like pinched together). There's no bleaching or anything, same color as it was in the LFS. It developed this recently and i don't know what exactly is going on. Is it ok? Should I worry?

ALSO, the tentacles on the GSP seem to be curling...(see pic of GSP). Is this something bad? All the GSP i've seen have straight ones.

I hope so too!! I don't mind it actually, I was just wondering if it's ok!!

yes, the livestock dilemma...I've been kinda slack on that category. Eventually I plan on putting maybe a clown goby or a neon goby and a firefish as well. Nothing too extravagant:)

EDIT: I forgot to mention that my tanks birthday was last saturday..haha so i'm proud to say it's been up for a year and a week!!
