Was thinking of getting a new skimmer for a 30 gallon tank. Came across this on reefbuilders site. Does anyone have experience with this model or brand?

I have the 100 gallon version running on my 40 gallon with only one fish. Overall I really like the skimmer. I've only ran into one problem so far and that is the sponge you place over the water output to reduce micro bubbles It tends to cause the water level in the skimmer to rise and overflow so I took it off.

is it loud and if you dont mind what is the distance from the intake to the outtake siphon. i want to put it in the first chamber of my all-in-one but it is only 8 inches wide.

I would say its fairly silent, I'm running the tank in my bedroom and don't even notice it anymore. The intake/outtake is 7.5" apart. If theirs anything else you need to know feel free to ask.

Theirs no details on the pump, but I believe it to be a Resun king. I sent an email to eshopps. Hopefully they will email me back because I plan on ordering another pump/needlewheel to experiment with. If I get a response I will let you know.:)

All of Eshopps skimmers look nice, the old in sump models have been ramped up which is a good thing since the originals were not very nice....
The new cone SNOW skimmers look awesome, and I am thinking about trying to get a deal from my Eshopps rep!! 8)
Since my Octo is still making me angry, I might as well try a cone and see where that takes me....

The Eshopps needle wheel looks similar to the one that comes with my Sicce pump and the bubble plate on the hang on is a great feature that you do not see on many hang ons....
Looks like Eshopps is moving in the right direction!

One dumm hikk, the older models used Rio pumps, the new cone uses Aquabee and I believe the larger cones will use a moded Laguna pump which is supposedly what Red Dragons are.....
