I have an Eunicid worm in my tank that I only see at night and then it’s only the head. The diameter is about half that of a pencil. Is there anyway I can get him out of the tank without moving the rock work? My 2 purple firefish like to sleep in the same rock (it’s a huge rock 12 lbs or so) and when scared that’s where they bolt. Can I block up the hole or would he simply bore another?

Chances are, if you try to yank it out of the rockwork, you will not get the entire worm out. Have a read here for suggestions on how to remove it:

I wound up dismantling my rocks and removing the rock that i knew the worm lived in. I kept it in a basin of water for a couple of weeks just to see if it would starve out and lo and behold there wound up being 2 in that rock.

I wish you well in the removal.

    +K for luck and success.

That’s an idea, maybe I’ll add a pipe to the front of the hole to extend his burrow and see if he moves into it. If it works I’ll post something. thanks
