Any one have any experience with a Euro Reef 6-2 ? I just put a brand new sedra 3500 pump on it so i don't think it's the pump . Mine is making a dark foam but not a hole lot of it I know it depends on the load but it seems like it should be doing more . What is the best water level to maintain in the skimmer body ? Thanks for any help .

I have a Euro on my 265g it works great for me. I keep the water level so the foam just barely drips into the edge of the collection cup. If the water level in the sump flucuates then your skimmer will also. I keep the water outlet about an inch under water.

Also have you cleaned the venturi on the pump to make sure it can suck lots of air into it? It is not uncommon for the venturi to get salt creep built up in and block most/all of the air.

As Bob says, you also need a stable water level for the adjustments to work. On the 6-3 I have running the water level without air is at about the bottom of the neck, but I have mesh moded the skimmer and increased the size of the air intake in the venturi.
