    Make sure a light acclimate or you could bleach your corals.

    Thanks! Been a fight lately. Reef Octopus isn't even working well.

    Had some shade in the middle. Had the bulb and ballast laying around. Had the reef itch and trying to save money for Disney Land so I did a "free" mod.

    So far I have found: XM, Hamilton, Corallife, Ushio, Coralvue, Bluelife, Reefgrow, and a few others. Not too bad.

    Anyone think I should change spectrum?

    Due for new bulbs....

    you could try the iwasaki 6500k, some people go crazy over them for frag systems. But i don't know much about them, I think the kelvin rating makes them less popular.
    ;D

    But really I would say the kelvin rating depends on the bulb you use, for example coralvue 20000k put out more par and gives better growth then the lower ones.

    CoralVue eh? Haven't had any personal experience with those bulbs. I will do some research.
